hello,
I saw the film this weekend. I really loved seeing the backdrop of London in the film. Of course Downey casted as brit , with his accent was interesting at the best of times. What I was intrigued by was the backdrops used in London, walking across bridge over Thames a mud road but concrete pavements, am sure we didn't have those yet in 1800s? !
Anyway my take was Guy Ritchie fine British director did a great job and putting some life into the old story of Sherlock Holmes, go see if you haven't.
There's loads of places featured in the film on the tourist trail of London, so if it's not walking through the horror tours, website below. Or visiting where he lived, in Baker Street. The St Pauls Cathedral is well worth a visit - even I have not been inside yet, so as a Brit I will be making it my new year's resolution to take a visit inside too. Of course the usuals are featured in the film , House of Parliament, Big Ben, Tower Bridge. Enjoy your visit to London travellers.
