But The Peak District is in the UK - it's in North West England, and pretty high up, hence the reference "higherhilltops" I'd say they were pretty snowed in up there at one point, and cut off from 'the world' - so that was their winter snow chaos. If it was anything like Ireland, the farmers in the high regions are only just now managing to get to their dead sheep carcasses that were buried in the snow and suffocated - livelihood is also winter snow chaos I believe...and all down to the snow still, as no one could get out to reach secluded regions by road
