I have just been travelling around OZ and every place has a top 5! If I had to choose the countries top 5 it would be:
1) Great Barrier Reef 2) Ayres Rock 3) Daintree Rainforest 4) Great Ocean Road 5) Melbourne
The best thing to do is have a top 100 i.e. do as much as possible because every spot has grear things going on. I used a few great websites durnig my travels that always highlighted the top 5 things to do in each destination. I wasn't dissapointed!!

Haven't quite got round Oz yet (that's for the coming months) but in my short time of crossing the continent I just have to flag these must do's:
Wilsons Promontory National Park, Victoria The Great Ocean Road, Victoria Esperance and the Cape Le Grand National Park, Western Australia 'Looking over the edge' at the Great Australian Bight, South Australia Standing in the middle of the Nullarbor Plain (SA/WA) in the dead of night. Silent. And still.
well obviously great barrier reef and uluru also - litchfield national park (near darwin) - either hunter vally or barossa valley for some wine tasting - great ocean drive

Not a thing "to see" as such, but you absolutely have to go surfing and experience the surf culture.
Of the places I went, I'd say, check out Kings Canyon and the Western MacDonnells ranges, west of Alice Springs, the Whitsundays, Fraser Island, and if you can dive or learn to dive, the SS Yongala wreck from Townsville or Ayr.
If there's one thing you have to see, its the Outback, its unreal!

Love the cheeky use of the word obviously there Rich (Ramsey Street - tut!)
So what about Tassie? Can't comment personally yet but I've heard many glowing reports, and as it's next on the agenda I'll be keen to confirm if it's a go-er..

I blatantly forgot about Tassie! Not that I've been but literally everyone I met out there did mention how incredible it was. I was considering going but the fact that I would have had to buy a whole new wardrobe of winter clothes just to survive kind of ruled it out!
