I read today that parts of Britain turned to frost as the first day of December brought wintry conditions and temperatures dipping below minus 8C.

Here in Çeşme / western Turkey we are continuing to enjoy warm sunny weather, although I have to admit there's quite a bit of cloud about today. We refer to these as "bonus days", when we have fine weather in the early or latter months of the year and our friends and family in the UK are often experiencing rain or cold weather.

What's the weather like with you today, 1st December?

Warmer than parts of Britain, then?

For the last 2 weeks we had high temperatures, warm and sunny beautiful days.
I went to Athens with a light jacket, and left it at home on my return trip by coach, because it was so warm that I could not stand it!
As from this morning, we have clouds in the sky, and it seems that the weather is changing a lot.
To be honest, I want the weather to change, because with all this sunshine I am not in the mood of decorating the house at all. I love Christmas with snow, or at least raiiny weather.
This is one of the reasons why I never want to travel to Australia during December or during Christmas time.

I'm starting to like this Korean early winter period, at least compared with Europe. Sure the temperatures might be hovering between -5 and 5 degrees, but it is sunny almost every day! There is nothing I hate more than grey clouds and drizzle, ala the UK. In fact, after it rained every single day in Devon in July, I have serious doubts as to whether I'll ever spend an extended period in the UK again. That weather is just too much for me!
