We are going to Cinque Terre on the 10th May 2010 and hoping to depart on 14th May so we can catch up with a tour that starts at Linate,Milan around 12.30pm(they are stay at Crowne Plazza that night)We want to know if we can catch a early train on the 14th and at what stations do they leave.We have log into Trenitalia and autostradale.it sites but can find a timetable.All we get is a train that leaves at 21.53 at night.Hope someone can help.Our first trip and am new to travelling Regards Tony

Welcome tonytess,

I checked the Trenitalia site and yep, that's all I see too. You might want to call and ask if there are other trips. It's rather strange that there would only be one trip to Milan per day.


If not, either consider going the day before, or catching a bus instead.

Hi Tony,

There seems to be a train that leaves Vernazza at 6:16 for Levanto . There is eurostar that leaves for central milan train station at 7:01 and arrives at about 10 AM.
You can buy a ticket in the station for Levento and then you have more than enough time to buy a ticket for Milano. The train to Milano is # 654 VERSILIA. This trip would get you into Milano with enough time to meet your tour at the airport if you then take the trian to the Linate airport from there. Or you could just go to the hotel and enjoy the city before they arrive.
