An interesting article about Valletta, Europe's smallest capital. Friends haved recently returned from a week there are are still singing its praises. They loved the culture, history and architecture and spoke very highly of the friendly, welcoming Maltese people.

Turkish Airlines have made it much easier for us to visit from our home here in Turkey with direct flights from İstanbul, so yet another destination to add to the 'must see' list!

Valetta and indeed all of Malta and Gozo are AMAZING. Perhaps I'm a little biased, given part of my family emigrated from there, but nevertheless there is a lot to see and do for such a small country. Valetta is one of my favourite cities not only in Europe but in the world, with incredible architecture, picture postcard views, a long and intriguing history and delicious food. I totally recommend anyone who is thinking of going there to just go there!

Valletta is part of the UNESCO sites and totally deserve it !
If you have the opportunity, go to the Notte Bianca in Valletta. It is at the end of september. All the main public building and churches are open for the public. The city is lit with candles, you have a lot of attraction such as band, food and drinks etc ... and the event ends very late in the night !
dont miss it if you are in Malta !
