A huge thanks to Travelpod. I write this because I am So thankful to Travelpod. I had a pleasant surprise when checking out my e mails yesterday. I found an e mail with the name of a dear friend of mine, a friend whom I always wanted so much to find but did not know how. I tried through Facebook many times, but I had no luck. The last time we saw each other was when we were 14 or 15.
I sent back an e mail, and she replies in the next few minutes, asking me to send her my phone number. We were talking for almost an hour, and she, like me, was so excited. The moment was so moving, and I could not believe that I had her on the line.
She lives with her husband in California, and yesterday she and her sister were searching the net checking on different sites not particularly something specific. All of a sudden her sister finds me through Google, and finds out that I am on TravelPod writing about Cyprus. She asks her sister if she remembers somebody named Popi, so my friend Arda who is an Armenian, starts reading the entry (Different styles of Architecture) and suddenly she sees her house in one of my photos taken. Under the photo I had a comment mentioning that the house nowadays is deserted but once belonged to Arda a dear friend of mine. So immediately she gets in touch with me through TravelPod.
However, the best part is that she is connected with another lost friend of mine – Maria, whom we last saw each other when we were 11, the day we were saying goodbye when they were moving to Australia. It was through Maria that I got to know Arda. They frequently meet she told me, when Maria visits the United States, so in reality I have found 2 lost friends thanks to Travelpod. Thanks guys! Popi
