I've read a lot of posts and travelogues here on Travelpod, and it seems that some people here are lucky enough to travel and get paid for it. I was just wondering what all the possibilities are...travel writer sounds like a dream job to me!

But there are lots of other jobs out there that are travel related, like working as a guide in other countries, or maybe teaching English overseas (as a way to immerse yourself in that culture), or perhaps working on a cruise ship in order to see different parts of the world.

So what have you done as a job that is travel related? This can be pretty broad in scope, I just don't mean any old job that requires you to travel for meetings and such--that doesn't count! lol (Although it is a great way to see the world too...that is how most of my travels take place).

I'm a researcher / writer. My work requires a lot of interviews, and "on the ground" experience, so I travel a lot for that. Recently I was in VEnezuela for the elections and am going to the Sudan in December.

I wish!! I did get pretty close during a rally on the street (as in I could see where he was standing) but no handshake
