hey there,

i have just signed up to travelpod after hearing about it from someone at work, I am getting ready to travel on my own to Ghana! The idea of this both scares and excites me as im not usually very independent but im hoping the trip will help me! So anyways just though id say hi to you all!

hehe thanks, well im going for three months which i feel is not too long but not too short! i just can't wait to meet people who want the same thing and i love working with children so it should be very rewardinng as im doing volunteer work with orphans!

Ghana's awesome - I did volunteering work there a couple of summers ago and absolutely loved it.

If you have the chance make sure you visit Kokrobite, its about an hour west of Accra, a little beach village place, really really nice.

Aw, I'm jealous, I wanna go back!

hehe well i work in a nursery at the moment and we were discussing my upcoming travels and how i was going to keep in touch with work, maybe even send pics and info via email for the older children to look at when she mentioned travelpod! so i look it up and here i am!!!

my username came from having a mess around on google! i wanted something in an african language and i used a translator! i have no clue if its accurate but if it's right it means future hope! if its wrong it could mean anything hehe!

Iam in Ghana now!
Its soooo amazing, ive been here for a month and already ive seen so much. Ive been to a national park seen wild elephants! Had a wonderfull weekend at a beach in Accra where we had a bonfire to keep us warm at night. The people here are lovely to! going to Cape coast for the weekend!

cape coast was very good! thank you! burnt my slef in the oddest of places tho! thats what bad suntan application does to you! bought some ace material and things! and the beach was amazing! its green turltle bay next!
