Hi folks,

hope to work a season in one of NZs ski resorts next season if I can.

Can anyone recommend a resort in particular? And any specific job sites etc? Have been snowboarding a few times in Austria, and would like somewhere that rivals it if I can.

Cheers

Oh I'm sure our Local Expert nztravelguide will have something to say about that.

In the meantime, check these blogs out and see if the ski resorts look like something fun for you:

Your 'main' options are in the south south island: Queenstown (Coronet Peak and the Remarkables), Wanaka (Treble Cone, Cardrona and the Snow Park), or Mt Hutt up in the Southern alps. Loads of choice. Whakapapa in the north island is also an option.

NZSki.com is a pretty safe bet for more information. I lived in Queenstown through the winter season back in 2005/06 as well as getting stuck in to the lesser known ski fields, a time I'll never forget.

My only advice would be to get there early. Enjoy..
