Just wanted to see if anyone is going, wants to go, already there, etc. I'm a United States citizen and recently got a tourist visa. I will be going to Iran at the end of November. yes.gif

You are very lucky and one of the few Americans I know of who have received a visa. Do you have to go with a tour? In either case, I am sure you will have a great time! Sure wish I could go again!

aopaq, yes thank you! I am going on a guided tour; they said this was mandatory for Americans. I don't mind, as I will be by myself but have a guide show me around. I've been wanting to go to Iran for many years.

How much would it cost? I get the same reaction from people when I tell them I'd go to Iran, N Korea, or anywhere else considered 'dangerous'

I used letsgoiran.com which is a company called Gardeshgaran Tours in Shiraz. Had a good time, though I was quite paranoid LOL
