There's always someone, somewhere publishing a list of the world's best beaches. Here's yet another one. But maybe you have other ideas?

1. Las Islas Cies, Galicia, Spain
2. Tayrona national park, Colombia
3. Porto da Barra, Salvador, Brazil
4. Anywhere on Palawan, the Philippines
5. Nungwi, Zanzibar, Tanzania
6. Arambol, Goa, India
8. Shell Beach, Isle of Purbeck, Dorset
9. Sinclair´s Bay, Caithness
10. Aroa, Aitutaki, One Foot Island, Cook Islands

I've been to

5. Nungwi, Zanzibar, Tanzania

and

8. Shell Beach, Isle of Purbeck, Dorset

Nungwi is absolutely gorgeous, and whilst Shell Bay in Dorset is a nice beach, I'm not sure how it got in the top ten of worlds best beaches.

I would recommend Malapascua off the north coast of cebu in the Philippines, but get there fast before it gets ruined like Boracay

I'm surprised s-e asia doesn't get more on there. It looks a little bit more like an alternative list.

Hi

The beach at Khao Lak, Phuket, Thailand, has been developed especially for nature lovers and tourists seeking a peaceful, quiet resort area. One can have a fantastic view of a goldenbeige ribbon of sand, picturesquely interspersed by some rocky outcrops, which divides the blue waters of the Andaman Sea from lush green palm groves. There is a belt of casuarina pines and other large trees all along the 12 km long beach. In the flat land, 600 to 2000 meters inland, rubber and coconut palm plantations, fields and tiny villages extend into the distance. Many lakes are in between, remnants of the flourishing tin mining industry from nearly two centuries ago.

Thanks
Have a fun
