Nominate me as a Local Expert



I will be traveling to Egypt as well as France in Dec. I was just wondering if anyone knew what shots are recomended? I also have an alergy to tetnus shots...should I get a medic alert braclet or something?

You do not need any shots to go to Egypt. It is recommended to have Hepatitis A, B, and Typhoid though. Having an allergy to a tetanus shot makes you susceptible regardless of the country you are in. I would probably talk to your doctor and see what they recommend for that one though, tetanus is a pretty important shot. You might be able to find the translation into Arabic to have on hand to give to someone incase you get hurt. I keep a paper with basic medical information in my wallet that I always have on me [like blood type, etc].

Got to agree with Jeremystravels basic shots needed make sure you carry your information on you in English is good as most of the Doctors I've encountered, in Sharm at least, have all worked in London as one time or another.
