Armchair Adventurer Group: Members Posts: 5 Joined: 18-July 07 From: Hubbardsville, NY USA Member No.: 71633 Nominate me as a Local Expert	Have there been many travelers such as ourselves that have gone to Haiti recently. We are always interested in hearing from what travelers to Haiti have to say. We were in Haiti in December 2006-January 2007 and spent a lot of the time in Jacmel. Jacmel is a very pretty little city with lots to do and see. I recommend people to visit there sometime. Also, we went to Haiti again from April 2007 to May 2007 and spent most of the time in Port au Prince/Petionville. Petionville is a great town. Port au Prince is kind of a shantytown, but there is plenty to do and see there. Travel Haiti Attached thumbnail(s)

Armchair Adventurer Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 8-September 07 Member No.: 86991 Nominate me as a Local Expert	If you can make it to Cap-Haitien in the north, I would highly recommend visiting the Citadelle. It's an unbelievably beautiful fortress built by ex-slaves amongst gorgeous mountains near the coast. I visited back in January of 2004 for the bicentennial, and I'll never forget it. Hope to make it back there again some day. Staying in Cap-Haitien, you can do this easy for a day trip, and then the next day, you can visit Labadie or other nice beaches no problem.
