Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 16-July 07 Member No.: 71003 Nominate me as a Local Expert	Hi I will be arriving in Bangkok on 5th Sept and I plan to travel through Northern Thailand (about 2 weeks), into Laos (about 4 weeks), Cambodia (about 4 weeks) and Vietnam (about 3 weeks) before flying to Hong kong where I will get a flight back to UK. Its my first time travelling alone although not my first time backpacking and I would love to have some company for some of the time! Anyones plans tie in with this? Member No.: 13877 Nominate me as a Local Expert	hi there, i'm thellie, and i'll be back in chiang rai by then, so if you're in the area i can show you around - maybe take you to the mirror project and we can organise a homestay at an akha village... if this sounds interesting you can also chat to paul (this is his travelpod username as well, so just search on the 'members' bit) who works more or less full time for them. you can also get to laos (direct to luang prabang i think, off the top of my head) by boat from chiang rai...
