Hi, My name is Clarity and I just signed up for Travelpod.

Last week my husband and I decided that we will be moving to San Francisco on October 1st. Our friend from college invited us to live with him and can help us get a job in a computer game company.

So once our current lease ends at the end of September, we'll be leaving our current jobs, my family here in New York and all our friends... and move to California. I've never been to California before and this is all new to me.

We'll be driving and this is my first long car trip..

I'm looking to meet other travelers that have taken road trips like this, or live in San Francisco and could tell me what to expect!

Thank you do anyone that has any helpful advice to offer or experiences to share!:)

Hi Clarity, welcome to the forums!

Your trip to a whole new life sounds really great! It's nice to hear about people who aren't afraid to change it all up.

I was in California with my husband 2 years ago and we had a really fantastic time. There is something about California..... it has something special about it, much different from the other states. The locals are really friendly and there's so much cultural diversity, great food, fabulous music and rich history. Plus loads of awesome stuff to do!

You'll find all the ins and outs while living there! smile.gif
