Hello everyone
I have read the topics with great interest and realise there are many people who know a great deal about Sri Lanka.
I am finalising my trip to arrive there in Feb 2010. I have arranged to work in an orphanage organised by the above charity...Leo Project Foundation.
I need to make sure these people are genuine and I will be safe as I am travelling alone. Please can anyone who knows of them comment.
I am so looking forward to my experience and want to help by teaching some basic first aid to the children, but I do need to know I will be safe.
Thank you
Chris

Looking at their website, it looks to be pretty legit... I've never heard of it before, but I'm sure you'll be fine.

Have you paid for your placement yet?

Hi Yes I have paid the deposit but no more. It just seems so odd that nobody seems to have experience of them. As I said I am really convinced they are fine to the point that I feel awful trying to check them out!

I'm sure it'll be just fine, there are tons of volunteer agencies out there, don't worry!
