Is there a high score for getting the closest to the destination? I think my 17km's from Singapore would take some beating.

haha paul! i've got so much crap knowledge stored in my head, it's scary.

yeah, it's damned addictive... i got to within 7km of tel aviv (i think it was there).
i'd like the map a little bigger, but apart from that it's fantastic... smile.gif

Thellie - I beat your score today - just. But the then it wouldn't let me update. frantics.gif

NO!!!

Closest I've come to things has been about 20 something km.

Damn, I am going to have to play again.

Hmmm, interesting to learn that my knowledge of Canada is very very bad. And it is such a huge place that when I get their cities wrong it costs a lot of points. Otherwise knowledge of Africa is OK, but a bit hazy in places, USA - know some of, and Europe same. Rest of the world I am pretty happy with. Oh - Brazil is another big country that costs when you put cities in the wrong place.

sorry paul, just upped again to 443,000+...

why are there only a couple of girls in the top 25? it can't be that their knowledge is worse, can it? or is it just that girls don't like computer games...? discuss.

I see your personality is as addictive and competitive as mine.

Damn that is a good score.

And I was wrong before, the thing did update my other score.

Girls - ???? Maybe they are doing what they should be doing, instead of procrastinating like us??

damn I thought my 17km's was pretty good sad.gif I'm determined to get on the leaderboard but I am useless at USA/Canada. I get ALL of the Canadian cities wrong (except Quebec and Vancouver) by at least 3000 km's!

Also I put the Soloman Islands in the Caribbean and was out by about 22000km's........

I got 7km from Helsinki, which was impressive. Never been anywhere near there.

Ha ha - I am getting better at Canada. But it is pretty much the Canadian cities and the occasional African country that throws me. Oh and sometimes an island where you just have to put it somewhere in the middle of the ocean, like Micronesia.

I really should give up that bloody game now.

7 km from some castle in Germany. Ha ha???

Yeah, damn those stans - it is hard to remember one from the other.

OK, that is enough. I am going to try to give up. Anyone want to join Traveler IQ anonymous with me?

By the way - does anyone else, when looking at the map, have some serious doubts as to Europe's claim to be a continent? It's a bit pitiful for a continent isn't it? Couldn't we give it semi continent status like India? Or perhaps like Pluto, we should just down grade it to a satellite area to Africa and Asia.

But it IS very dense. And that must average it out somehow. (It's the only reason I count as a person!)

And damn you, travelpodders all! These stupid forums convinced me to buy a laptop for photoediting and blogging, then forced me to spend copious amounts of time posting in the forums, THEN got me started on the facebook thing, and now..! Well, I think I should just stop travelling, go home, and spend all my time online. Just develop an e-travel virtual reality facebook plugin and I'm set!

Haha nice touch... If one forgets to play, it goes to 99999, and says on the comment titlebar : "bueller? Bueller?"

Love it.
