Hi! I'm brand new to this forum. I am planning on attending the Shri Kali Ashram for yoga certification next month and I've become suspicious because even though their web site is quite elaborate I can't find a phone number or anyplace tof find testimonials. Can anyone help? I know it's supposed to be in Agonda which looks fabulous. Thanks, Linda

I guess you tried their contact page: http://www.shrikali.org/contact.php

Maybe they would send you their phone number if you asked for it.

In the meantime, there are quite a few beautiful blogs from Agonda: http://www.travelpod.com/blogs/0/India/Agonda.html

Hi Linda, I am considering visiting the Ashram around January and wanted to see if you went and how your experience was. Any insight is GREATLY appreciated!

I attended teacher’s training at Śri Kali Ashram and had a enlightening experience exploring Tantra and Yoga. I have been to many other yoga training and intensives and found this to be pretty unique. They teach people to have quality in teaching by sharing the knowledge and experience they integrated during the month. We did a lot of practice which gave me the ability to execute asanas, prānayama, and Bandhas very well. I was surprised with my own progress in just a month. They even created individual physical practice, study programs and reading lists for each of us depending on our ability and interest. This seems to be the modern way of teaching where teachers facilitate the student's personal journey. That is what they explained and I can now see it in the serious yoga schools here in the US.

Yoga is a personal journey that I cultivate. I am the only one who can really know myself so I have to be able to understand and listen to myself. That is what we focused on at Śri Kali through the practice, the philosophy, etc. Honor all aspects of your true self. It was really nice.

This school is good for progressive people looking for a serious science and culture of life. I enjoyed my time at Śri Kali and recommend it for students who appreciate the life long value of immersing themselves in ancient and timeless culture of Yoga and Tantra.

Thank you Namaste,
Yes I have been doing yoga for three years and am looking for a teacher training that is more structured. I dont care if it is yoga alliance certified if I am not going to learn anything. I am also looking into others in India.Yogapoint looks good and my price range but not yoga alliance certified. Maybe that is not the most important thing.Thank you for all your input.
Shraddha
