Wanderer Group: Members Posts: 18 Joined: 16-June 07 Member No.: 62088 Nominate me as a Local Expert	Hey everybody, What with the events occuring in Pakistan these days, I might end up flying over Pakistan from Iran into India. I figure though, that the best way to hear about how Pakistan is doing is to talk with other travelers who have already passed through. I don't want to spend money on a visa that I won't use, so I'm wondering if it's possible to get a visa into Pakistan from the point of entry, if that's the route we decided to use. Can anybody help on that? Thank you!

So... I guess for anybody else who is looking into this? There it is... Unfortunate as it may be. Thanks!

However, I would personally try to visit Pakistan if I were in your position. I took a short visit there a year or so ago and would love to return. I have heard that it is possible to get a visa in Tehran so you might want to consider that possibility. The media makes things sound a bit volatile in Pakistan right now but if you avoid the west, you should have no problems. And once you get there you will probably find out more about the security situation such that a trip to Peshwar and surroundings would be feasible. That is one area I really want to see one day.
