Hi,

I am new to travelling and am looking for like minded individuals from the UK to travel with, I want to travel America, hopefully by car but if that's not viable train, bus or feet! I really want to see the desert state, monument valley, grand canyon etc, as well as cities along the way, either going from west to east or east to west. I am more than happy to compromise on particular sites etc. I am hoping it will be an entire summer thing, but it can easily be a lot longer or shorter depending on circumstances.

My first post in the introduction forum says more:
http://www.travelpod.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3438

I am a 23 year old recent graduate who was just made redundant so that is why I have decided to travel now. So I would like a travelling partner or 2 who wants to do the same sort of thing as me

My facebook profile should say enough about me: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=500974160

Cheers!

Adam

I really wouldn''t worry about finding someone to join you. If the GreenTortoise idea sounds good, then fly into BOS or NYC and take one of their westbound cross country trips. You'll meet plenty of copacetic gals and guys around your age. And one or two you may find it hard to stomache. Might even get 'married' for the duration of the trip.

When you get to the West coast if the trip was good you could spend some time on the West coast, Yosemite, Seattle, LA then take a GT eastbound trip different itinerary, back to NY, Bos, UK.

While here don't pass up Canada or Mexico. Both great places and people to visit.

Would enjoy hearing from you when you decide and how it comes out.

Really don't think the buying or renting a car is such a good idea in your situation. Under 25, insurance is a killer. Gas prices though half of Europe's are still very high and distances in North America are vast. Camp grounds are not that cheap and often filled.
