1. Travelpod
2. hotmail
3. ibew424.net
4. Accuweather.com
5.m-w.com (merrium-webster, 'cause words are fun!)

I thought 5 would be tough, but it is actually a little restrictive.

The first four were easy. The 5th wasn't so as now I've found that the 5th really is a heap different sites. I'd say the 5th listed would probably win.

1: travelpod.com
2: hotmail.com
3: passplanet.com
4: google.com.au
5: china.org.cn (that or a choice between assorted efl, tesol sites)

What do you do on the wikipedia?

I use it for quick facts. It's sort of the first of layers of info for me. If I want to dig deeper into something then I go onto other sites depending on what I want to know and what Wiki offers. I use Wiktionary alot too.

Facts? Maybe I missed what wikipedia was about. I'll give it a chance sometime.

I think it's Wiki that acually does a spoof on it's own website, called the Uncylcopedia. You'll get a kick out of this Keith, it's Canada in the Uncyclopedia.. Pretty funny stuff.

Meh, I go on it too sometimes. I like his spin. No shame in a bit of harmless trash....

For a little twist, here are five decent travel websites I can highly recommend:

1. travelindependent.info - more info than you could shake a stick at. The primary source I used for my RTW trip.
2. seat61.com - the train guru; don't look anywhere else. This chap knows his overland onions and never once comes off as a boring train spotter.
3. travmonkey.com - blog run by a backpacker, full of interesting and original content.
4. sleepinginairports.com - highly original and informative site if you, er, need to sleep in an airport.
5. travelpod.com - Has the sexiest maps out of all of the travel blog sites whistle.png

In order, everytime I get on tha intarwebnet at some 'rustic' cafe

fourloves.blogspot.com
www.gmail.com/login
www.travelpod.com/forums
conceptofirony.blogspot.com
en.wikipedia.org

The bad thing about three and five are that you can endlessly click links all day to no other end than filling your head with (non)sense.

I'd recommend www.everything2.com to everyone - the original, and far more addictive wikipedia.

I am almost ashamed to admit, steve, I've used the airport sleeping site more than once.

Oh my word. Never so comprehensive have I seen such a mass of craziness. I had to close the window upon reading the Edmonton entry due to violent, limb-exploding laughter.

Oh, and the new avatar? I claim it! MIIIIIINE ALL MINE MUAHAHAAHAHA!

Thanks for that...
