I'm not sure why, but Israeli diplomats seem to have alot of bad luck! Or just make bad choices I guess!

Israel has just recalled it's ambassador to El Salvador after he was found on his lawn, naked, drunk, tied up and wearing sex toys!! Wow. Majorly embarrassing for anyone, let alone a diplomat! This occurred about two weeks ago and he has since, none too suprisingly, been removed as ambassador.

Israel cancelled the appointment of a diplomat to Australia in 2005 after discovering that he published naked photos of a Brazilian woman on the internet.

Back in 2000, Israel's ambassador to France was passed away of cardiac arrest in a hotel in Paris. The Foreign Ministry would not disclose the circumstances surrounding the death. Reports say he was with a women who was not his wife. Sounds like a kinky mess to me.

I'm wondering why all the occurances are of a sexual nature? My impression was that Israel wasn't that sexually liberated.

Any thoughts?

It's because Israeli corruption has reached huge proportions and the "diplomats" being sent to represent the country are friends of influential politicians and not people of quality.

Don't get me wrong, I know how the game is played, but as all Americans learned during the recent Katarina fiasco, you put your friends in places where the can do minimal damage, not in high office.

"My impression was that Israel wasn't that sexually liberated."

Israel (as a whole) is very liberated, much more then the US and but not as much as some European countries.

Okay, so a case of a sort of nepotism then. But this happens all over the world as well. So it doesn't explain entirely.

I had no idea about the sexual liberation. Learn something new everyday!
Thanks.
