Sounds like a winner. Ever try 'Tui' Indian Pale Ale?

Yes, but it is from New Zealand! NZ beer is better than Aus beer, I'm sorry to report. .
Fiji has good cheap beer, "fiji bitter." We drank the heck out of the stuff.
Unfortunately, I don't think India really has any truly good beer--I searched the whole country, and it ranged from "just ok" all the way to "completely undrinkable." For me to put down a beer unfinished is like Rosie O'donnell turning down dessert. One of my fantasy jobs is to start a microbrewery there. Could make a fortune with the foreigners. . .

Agree with the NZ>Aus beer battle. I do miss the Monteiths and I do miss the NZ prices..

Agree about Kiwi beers being better than the Ozzie ones.

Monteiths Black in NZ is a good brew, and has a respectable percentage rather than 4.3% or whatever the rest have.

Found a gem of a place in Tokyo - Sapporo brewery museum - Free entry and then you can taste four beers (ale, white, dark and pilsner) for less than US$4. Shame it shuts at 6!

And any beer from those huge giraffes (that you see in S.America and Eastern Europe) (not sure if that's what they're called though) seems to taste fabulous. If we had them in the UK it would be awesome.

I tried two new ones tonight. One was a Pilsner Uruell from Czech.
However, my new favorite is Effes from Turkey. It was delicious!!
