QUOTE(exploreamerica @ Mar 6 2007, 04:35 PM) Tom...amazing as always. I think you missed your calling.
with about 15,000 photos there's bound to be 1 or 2 good ones. when i'm wandering around, i often see things from a camera lens point of view. i know, it's weird. i'll be walking along, stop and see something that i think would make a good picture (or adjust where i'm standing so it looks just right). i should post a series of my blurry, out of focus and just real bad pictures. QUOTE(exploreamerica @ Mar 6 2007, 04:35 PM) My trips are always confined to as much as I can do in 2 months during summer vacation so I will need to find a way to get out of work.
you'll have to let me know if you are passing through portland on your next roadtrip this summer. i'm stuck here, but summer is great in the pacific nw. (last weekend of july is brewfest!)

QUOTE(exploreamerica @ Mar 21 2007, 07:59 PM) Battlemonkey, I have been to the Badlands twice before and never got a perspective like your first picture. Incredible!!!
Thank you! To be honest, the earth did most of the work. I took that late afternoon right after a storm (which happened to be so fierce that it ripped my aging Eureka tent to pieces), so the lighting was pretty unique.
