Flying into Panama City, and want to get to the San Blas Islands.

First of all, which ones are good to go to for young single guys, who want a touch of civilization (bar, restaurant, nothing too crazy) but quiet small island feel with hammocks, the whole deal.

Good starting point of Porviner?

I know flying is the easiest method from PTY airport, but I was thinking bus to Colon....then...??
How do I get there from Colon, hitch a ride on a provision ship, or are there ferries?
How long does the boat ride take, cost?

Lots of questions...I know. Ill return the favor some day

Thanks folks!
