Could be great news for those living in Europe. It's expected that they will be joining forces with Virgin (Probably start Virgin Blue in Europe) or Easyjet.

With the start of Oasis Airlines low cost Lon-HK route last year for £75 +tax one way this is a very promising time for Asian travel. Plus Air Asia is great biggrin.gif

I had a look at the Wiki entry for Air Asia earlier and they are really going to be the dominant force in Asia, even more so than they are already. If they are branching out to India thats brilliant. They already fly to South China so I assume they'll be adding Kunming, Shanghai, Xi'an and Beijing to their quota.

One surprise thing I hadn't noticed is they have joined forces with another couple of smaller low cost companies and will be servicing Bangladesh and Sri Lanka from early 07! Bangers needed it as Biman are supposed to be a terrible airline and on the verge of going bust.

Wonder if people will be kicking up a fuss in Asia about Carbon Emissions like in the UK? Bet Malaysia don't really care as the amount of air traffic increase they'll be getting will really boost their economy. The UK government should realise there's a reason people are turning to the low cost airlines....It's cheaper than taking the train which is a disgrace!
