I started a similar thread, just in the 'Ireland' forum, about the 250th anniversary of Guinness, which is on Thursday 24th September.
However I have seen details in a newspaper today, outlining the Worldwide celebrations, and thought I'd share...so here you go...
Ireland (obviously!): Boyzone's Ronan Keating will host the big bash at St James's Gate Brewery in Dublin with presenter Cat Deeley. Across the city, 33 events will take place simultaneously in four separate studios (tickets aren't on sale yet

but you can buy them
here when they are)
England: Irish pubs across England will host the festivities with live feeds from Dublin parties. There'll be toasts at 17:59 in London Irish bars, while up north Manchester will host a massive five-day tradfest
Canada: Arthur's Day will be celebrated coast-to-coast in Canada, with a string of spectacular Black Carpet VIP parties and celebrity events in cities Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax
Malaysia: Hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas will be leading the Asia Pacific celebrations at a major music event at Sunway Lagoon in Kuala Lumpur when East meets West on Thursday
Indonesia: Guinness Indonesia is organising a marathon bus safari travelling through ten of its key cities. The booze cruiser will rev into action soon after Arthur's Day and will travel until the end of the YEAR!
Nigeria: Headlining the event at Ocean View in Lagos will be RnB star Sean Paul, who'll perform tracks from new album Imperial Blaze. Also appearing will be Nigerian rappers PSquare and Koko Master
What's going on in your part of the world for
Arthur's Day? I know what I'll be doing...raising a pint of Guinness at 17:59 GMT on 24.09.09 and saying "To Arthur!"
