Hi,

New to this board. I just really would like to know some advice. Due to the nature of this thread i will post on the India and Thailand board.

I am someone who has never travelled outside of Europe or USA but I am going to Chennai in India for 3 weeks with my work.

All expenses paid, i will be staying in a hotel and working in Chennai.

My first question is really generally for advice on things to do and see in Chennai. Anybody with past experiences who can recommend some sights please share your thoughts.

I really dont know too much about this, although i find myself keen to ride an elephant or something but guess i would need to head outside Chennai for this. Also would like to see a lot of the wildlife. I have heard they have wild monkeys. Never seen one before unless in captivity so is there a place where they particularly 'hang out'?

I also have a great appreciation for beautiful buildings, so any temples or anything like that you can recommend would be great.

This brings me on to my second question. As i will be there for 2 full weekends, I am looking into the possibility of spending one of those weekends somewhere like Thailand. To fly out on a Friday or Saturday and to return on the Monday.

I need to know a good website where i can look at flight prices from Chennai.

As i have never been to Thailand and am only there for 2 or 3 nights, i will need advice on a good place to go. Due to time and the fact i am flying in, im guessing Bangkok is the obvious place.

I would therefore need a place to stay, so if anyone has any general advice on all the aspects of going to Thailand (Bangkok) that would be great.

I hope some of you can help. Im getting tired of reading websites with biased views.

Thanks everyone.
