I would be SO going to this if I could! An oyster festival? In Ireland? Hmm, that seems......FANTASTIC!! Oysters and Guinness. Heaven!

Galway Oyster Festival

September 24th - September 27th.

The site link is great and has loads of info for anyone who's heading out there. And if anyone does happen to go, have a beer and some oysters for me please! smile.gif drinks.gif

It's also "Arthur's Day" on the 24th September jump.gif 250th anniversary celebrations of Guinness!

I'll start a new thread for that...

Are you saying that the 24th is the birthday of Guinness? If so, I guess, being born on that day even takes more special meaning for some (not me though.... I'm a tea-toddler angel.png ).

It surely is!! smile.gif Cool day for a birthday then! I'm not sure what to suggest though as an alternative....there are Guinness shaped sponges I guess....you could soak one of them in your favourite soft drink, and then sook it out for the toast??

There are many amazing attractions and places to visit in Dublin you have got many choices like Castles, Art Galleries, Stately Homes, Museums, Zoos and Theme Parks.

Best Regards,

GALWAY - i.e. where the Oyster Festival is, is about 3 hours from DUBLIN. If you must spam, spam sensibly!! offtopic.gif
