Any tips, hmm... well, just get out there and do things - whatever you like there'll be a local club for it and everyone's really friendly! Didn't you say your boyfriend was over here aswell? So that's a pretty good start!

But I'll be doing about three weeks travel beforehand with a tour of Ireland & Wales and then a visit to a good friend in Germany! Would love to meet you all over there, it's great to know I wont be alone on my big, scary (but exciting) adventure. lol
