Dear All,

I have been travelling in China these last days. The tour we booked is being organised by the chinese statetour operator CITS and we are quite dissatisfied because they keep dragging us into crafts "factories " and "museums" that are nothing less but shops. They only telll us the destination when we are already on the way and those places are always in the middel of nowhere, so even if yu are not interested you are forced to go there, plus they are always on the way to one of the main attractions.
Today they gave us 25 mintues to visit the Lingyin temple and hurried us so we could stay 1h30 in a tea plantation/shop that wasn't on the program. And everyday it has been like that.

Are there any operators that don't submit you to this? Each time we pull up at one of these places they are packed with tourist busses.
