hyper.gif I have no idea what Norway has to hold, and will look through some blogs as well, but if anyone could fill me with some quick insights, that would be speak_cool.gif

Have literally just booked flights for a weekend in October because they were mega cheap from Dublin - no other thought has gone into it so far - this trip has been driven by a cheap deal found using Skyscanner's 'Dublin to everywhere' in a date range facility! Love it!

Any tips most welcome - especially even just getting from the airport into the town at this stage! laugh.gif help.gif

Hi,
One thing for sure that you should have in mind, is that it is a very expensive country.
(a burger and coke for 18 euros)..... this is what I was told when a friend visited that country.
Your stay however will be so short that even if you pay that much, you will have fun. - at least the tickets were so cheap as you mention.
Be sure to let us know when back.

Oooooooh Norway, exictement! My Mum went on a cruise there and came back with all these amazing pics of fjords etc...

Although I guess you're flying into Oslo? Popi's right, it is super expensive there - I was there five years ago so don't remember too much other than that. My guesses are it will be a bit nippy and maybe get dark early (though depends when you're going)... but on the plus side all the houses are little and wooden and different colours and look like they're from a fairytale biggrin.gif

Cool, thanks both of you - yeah I knew about the expense of the country so will bear that in mind - my return flight from Dublin was only 25 including tax! Whoop whoop!

It's flying to Oslo Torp airport, so will likely end up in Oslo, yes. Does sound super cool though with the fjords and wooden houses smile.gif I love the quirky things guitar.gif

Thank-you! Since I posted this, we booked an internal flight to Bergen, so we're only one night in Oslo, then 2 in Bergen, then we're doing the 7 hour train journey back to Oslo, that's supposed to be in the top 20 in Europe?! Can't wait!!! 2 weeks to go!!!
