Having a difficult time in what to do next...... this is our plan so far.
Sydney, 3 nights, Port Stephens, 3 nights Port Macquarie, 1 night Bellingen, 3 nights Byron Bay, 3 nights Brisbane, 2 nights, Hervey Bay, 1 night Fraser Island, 3 nights
We will have 6 nights left before going back to Sydney for 2 nights, then the flight home.
So, can you come up with some suggestions on what to do after Fraser Island.....
Airlie Beach & Prosperpine. Or Rockhampton is Fabo!! Magnetic Island off Townsville - swim with the Giant Turtles.... OMG I"m so envious !! Have a good one
I thought as much. Do you think it is worth baseing ourselves at Airlie Beach and doing day trips from there, or go the whole hog and stay on one of the islands for 6 days?
If u want to do magnetic island - thats off the coast of Townsville ( a long way from Airlie Beach). If you're happy to miss magnetic - then base yourself in Airlie and day trip it (often the best rates). When u get to Airlie/Proserpine do yourself a favor and head to Cedar Creek Falls (around 20mins away from memory) - Spectacular doesn't even come close!!! Water is cool, crisp & perfect for a dip on a scorching hot aussie day - the rainforest is lush, fresh & earthy.... did I mention I was envious? LOL.

i enjoyed moolabah and maroochydore.. maybe you've gone too far north by now but i found it one of my favourite places.. you can always pay your respects at beerwah if you're close... i found the website of the hostel here that i stayed in maroochydore back in '02' , i hired a sea kayak and paddled all the way down into the centre of a shopping centre, i found it hilarious.... happy travelling
