Typing 'Half Moon Cay' in Google Earth's search box should bring it up OK.

Half Moon Cay is the private island owned by Carnival Cruiselines. It is actually a 55 acre beach paradise located on Little San Salvador Island in the Bahamas. I have attached a map.

 The guests enter the Fort San Salvador Welcome Center upon docking at the marina. The Welcome Center features an information booth, restrooms, bar, Bahamian straw market, ice cream shop, post office and first aid station, air-conditioned island shop, and tram stop. Well-marked paths lead to the beach and water sports center and food service area.

 The Tropics Restaurant operates a buffet-style with six lanes for quick service. It features 15 open-air dining shelters.

 Full service bars are located throughout the island. Two large bars are in the Tropics Restaurant and the Welcome Center. The “I Wish I Could Stay Here Forever” bar is located on the main beach. A third bar, Half Moon Saloon, located near the Half Moon Lagoon Aqua Park, provides a great view of the ocean and beach. There is also a very quiet bar located on the interior lagoon adjacent to Stingray Cove.

 There is a 24 seat passenger tram that runs continuously between the Welcome Center and the Food Pavilion

 You can rent clamshells, cabanas, and all manner of water sports equipment right on the beach.

 The BBQ lunch is delicious and plentiful.

It's between Eleuthera and Cat Island. Access Google Maps and type in: Little San Salvador Island, Bahamas.

Carnival Cruise owns islands? Geez, I'm out of the loop!

So does Disney Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean. Carnivals', I ahve heard, is about 85% nature preserve. The part that their cruise lines use (Carnival owns several of the other big cruise lines) is very tiny in comparison.

They don't own it all, just a bit of it.

Anyway, just to get you back in the loop, as we miss you:
The following Cruise Lines have Private Islands in the Caribbean for their guests:

* Castaway Cay, Bahamas - Disney Cruise Line
* Half Moon Cay, Bahamas - Holland America Line
* Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas - Norwegian Cruise Line
* Princess Cays, Bahamas - Princess Cruises
* CocoCay, Bahamas - Royal Caribbean
* Labadee, Hispaniola - Royal Caribbean

Even Sandals Resort has it's own offshore private island
