Popi, NGO = Non Governmental Organisation

I don't have a next short trip :-( unless you count day trips - plenty of them coming up, next one is tomorrow, but haven't decided where to yet!!

What is your favourite time of day?

Anytime is good for me as long as I am healthy. I love life so much.

How many hours do you work every day?

First I will answer Popi's question that she asked me..an NGO stands for Non Government organization, it is basically the same thing as a non profit organization. mine focuses on education of Tanzanians.

now back to the thread...I work anywhere from 1 hour to 16 hours a day, it varies wildly depending on the project that i am currently doing.

Do you worry about politics or current events when planning a trip? For example would you be afraid to travel to say, Thailand right now due to the protests they have been experiencing, or do things like that not bother your travel plans?

Thanks my friend for your answer.
Now to your questions. Yes, definitely I worry about politics or current events. You don't know how much I missed Thailand. I have been there 4 times, and I have missed it so much...it will have to wait for next year for sure.

How many more years will you stay where you are now?

I honestly don't know the answer to that question and it's something I've been thinking about recently.

When was the last time you had friends round for dinner and what did you cook?

It was 2 months ago. All women, something that I do with 4 or 5 friends when my husband is away. He was in Cyprus working for 2 weeks.
Oh we had many salads and grilled meat. No sauce.

When was the last time you paid to buy flowers for your house?

Last spring we bought flowers to plant outside the house, we will do so again shortly.

Did you ever cancel a trip due to a weather?

Yes, one time we took the mountain bikes on the back of the car to the Cotswolds and when I was out on the ride I got a puncture. It took forever to get the tyre off to repair it.

Have you ever crashed your bike while you were riding it?

Yes, as a kid I can still recall it moment by moment and "feel" my bleeding knee.

What's the longest road trip you ever took?

Furthest away from home you've ever been?

Usually but not always. When we went to Disney (view blog) we bought refillable water bottles with a filter right in the bottle, now we take those bottles wherever we go. It's a great idea and saves us lots of money.

If money was not object, where would you go? (ISS for me).

Well, I am going on a trip for just over five months, starting December - we can't go till December because John did a degree, paid for by the company we work for, which means he is tied to them till December, otherwise he has to pay the money back for the tuition ..... if money was no object, I would do the same trip, but pay the company we work for the money back so that we could leave soon!!

How far away do you live from where you were born?

On an average in a day how many times you curse god for injustice?

Not many, I make a conscious effort to think positively. Of course it depends on the day.

What is the next major life change for you?

It will be in October, not long before my birthday. I will be leaving my job and spending a few months at home before leaving for my trip in December. When I get back from my trip the following June I will not be going back into a corporate company and have been looking at various options, I'm not sure where any of them are taking me at the moment, but I don't plan on deciding till I get back.

If you could make one last phone call, who would it be to?
