Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 14-August 09 Member No.: 295500	Hello! This is my first post on travelpod! My husband and I are planning a trip to the NE part of the USA with a 2 1/2-3 day stop in DC and I'm hoping someone can recommend the must see places (monuments, museums, etc) We're big history buffs so we're really excited to come to DC. Thanks!

I'd recommend seeing the Smithsonian, The White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Air and Space Museum, and the National Natural History Museum. You can also check out the Washington DC Starter Kit that was posted here (http://www.travelpod.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11967) it has more information on places to visit.
