Good day!

I'm looking to get to know some fun individuals who are, like me, looking for some travel buddies.

I have great friends, but they aren't in a place in their life that they can get up and go... so I'm looking to meet some great people out there who would like to chat about trips they've taken, places they'd like to go, and discuss the possibility of striking out and seeing some of the world together.

If you'd like to chat... please start by telling us a little about yourself...

Can't wait to meet you!

Hi, Starlagurl.

Nice to meet you! I lived in Las Vegas for a while and have some favorite Southwest places - Sedona, Arizona (near the Grand Canyon), Yosemite National Park, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Hello everyone! I'm 27S/F from Alabama (fixing to be 28, yikes!). I finished college a few years ago (War Eagle!) and moved back to my "small" hometown, in North Alabama. I'm kind of in the same boat that I heard mentioned before. I just work, and every single friend I have that's from here, or that I met in college are married now, most are starting families and don't have the freedom to do what I do.

Yes, I've thought of moving, but I have a good job opportunity here with a Gov. job. (That means all U.S. Holidays, and tons of annual leave! I can't give that up!) Anyway! I'm looking for a travel partner that would like to plan a decent length trip in advance. IF, they didn't live too far away from where I'm at, we might be able to even do some weekend trips or something like that. The great Southeast U.S. has many places to go as well.

Countries I've been to... Ireland, England, and Wales

Countries I want to go to ....Ireland (yes again), Scotland, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Columbia (Mt. Roraima & Patagonia).

There are places in the States I'm getting around to going to as well, but I have one sister who lives in Oregon that's helping me out in that area, since I go out there to visit a few times a year.

Ideally speaking, I’d like to take a two-week journey summer 2010, on a budget of about 4-5k. Preferably over the July 4th or May Memorial Day holiday weekends, getting a Rail pass, that type of trip. I'd love to find two people in the SE U.S. that would go on the trip, leaving & returning from Nashville or Atlanta.

Throwing mine in here for kicks..

I'm an 18 year old girl, about to move away from sunny Barbados to my homeland of the United Kingdom
I've previously travelled to various Caribbean islands, 3 US states, the UK obviously, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, Costa Rica, the UAE and Singapore [random, I know!]
About to travel to a teeny corner of the US Midwest, onwards to Ontario and Quebec, and the UAE again, and planning a Western Europe backpacking trip for next summer!
REALLY interested in going to Australia and New Zealand when I can get the money [that's next in the pipeline after the Eurotrip], Pacific Canada/US [if I didn't have university I would take you up on that offer, Louise!], Central and South America in general but especially Argentina and Ecuador, and East and South East Asia. tongue.gif Big ambitions, I know.

Sarah: Little girl, big dreams. Currently living in Scotland
British born, Barbados raised, slowly but surely getting out there. One day..
Next trips: Australia Late March-April; Europe Late June-Mid August
