zimbabwe, traveling to zimbabwe

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 3 Joined: 7-August 09 Member No.: 293642	Hi I am planning to travel to zimbabwe next year around june to harare then traveling by road to vic falls on my own. Does anyone have any advice and will it be safe for me you think?

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 17-June 10 Member No.: 1082731	Hi, would just like to add that being born and living in Zimbabwe things have really changed in tourism and travel in Zimbabwe as well as throughout the country since the dollar was introduced - we dont have to rely on the zimbabwean dollar any longer which means supplies are back to normal and the hotels, camps and lodges in Zimbabwe are filling up fast again! if you need help planning your trip there is a great directory and they dont take commission on venues4africa. If you are ever stopped by the police just be friendly :-) in victoria falls and kariba tourists are a common sight again so in there popular places you are very welcome and in the more rural areas as well
