So we are going to Gili T on the 8th aug for 4 nights and we dont have a hotel. We thought this was no problem but as it turns out it is. And now ALL apparent accomodation is fully booked through online.

I heard that some hotels reserve some rooms for walk in guests? Do u know which ones? And does Gili Trawangan have some kind of tourist office or can we find one that deals with hotels from the main land?

Is it worth the hassle to go to Gili T or should we just skip it and go to a nice resort in Lombok? We have booked the GiliCat already anyway.

Looks like you'll just have to go and look around.

yyztraveler found the Turtle Bungalows for $USD 40/night:

I'd try it! What's the worst that could happen? You fall asleep on the beach?

It depends on what your looking for.
If you want the expensive resort then you might be out of luck, but there are plenty of comfy smaller places that don't have internet and will normally have rooms available.

The time has come to make a choice. Either you choose to be at your desk, on time, everyday, or you choose to travel and see the world.
