Planning to take our honeymoon in Guatemala and Belize in June next year. We'll be flying into Guatemala City and out of Cancun 17 days later. We want to include time hiking (probably volcanoes and forests), diving, markets / small villages, ruins and lakes. We like to travel fairly low-key on buses and staying in hostels but will probably splash out on our final night or so near Cancun. Would really appreciate any advice on the following:

Any must-see places in Belize or Guatemala - so far we have on our list Lake Atitlan, Tikal, Glovers Reef, Blue Hole, Caracol and Peten rainforest.

Advice on the overland border crossings

Any good volcano hikes / recommendations for tour guides

Recommendations for accommodation

Any nice beaches on Guatemala's pacific coast?
