Can anyone tell me what sort of weather to expect if we were to drive the Big Sur mid April time?

You'll find it clear & warm with occasional cool breezes. Take a sweater.

Fun! Big Sur is beautiful! Sounds like a nice time of year to explore.

It is. Just remember to bring your camera & hiking shoes & watch out for the poison oak. Also, lunch at Nepenthes is a memorable experience. Don't miss their bookstore.

That's where we went for lunch a few days after my cousin got married. It's SO nice up there. Such a pretty view. Definitely worth a stop.
