Traveller thinking about working and travelling in New Zealand

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 22-July 09 Member No.: 289405 Nominate me as a Local Expert	Hey all, I'm a 26 year old lad living in the UK, but who is desperate to travel and see more of the world. At present I have seen only western parts of Europe and parts of the United States, but my dream and goal in the next few months is to work and travel across one of three countries Canada, Australia and New Zealand.. So I am wondering if anyone out there has been working and travelling before in New Zealand and which organisation did you do it with, or did you do it on your own? I am also looking for any travellers who maybe thinking of working and travelling in New Zealand in the next few months to get in touch, as at present it looks like I will be doing this alone and it would be great to meet fellow travellers ahead of my journey. Thanks guys and any help or comments would be greatfully received! Tim.

Azreal: the problem with advising on something you've only 'heard' is that it's misguiding. The Maori people are among the best in the world in terms of brotherhood, unparallelled support (backup) and genuine friendship, which is a very rare find these days. I haven't travelled before so i'm a little scared as I will be travelling on my own in November. Although I have a friend who moved to Christchurch in June, so I will meet up with her and I also have a few friends in Sydney and Melbourne, so I intend to visit them for a month at some point. I have been reading High Heels and Head Torch, a girls guide to backpacking, which has some first hand tips in it. It's about a women who was married for 10 years and her husband left her so she went travelling for a year. Everyone I have spoken to about New Zealand have said it's amazing and they're jealous and that I will love it. So have you decided where you are going yet? Emma
