Congratulations, Caro. You give me some hope. There are maybe more people than I thought out there living in USA who are fed the official version and say to themselves: "Wait an explicative minute!" And look for alternative versions or recognize the imbalance.

But then you are I think from Columbia so were not subjected since kindergarten to indoctrination into American myths. [Columbia of course had its own myths to instill. In a Doestoevsky novel he writes "Every day since they were six they were taught the same thing so of course they believed it."]

I also noted in the "Should they or shouldn't they..." forum you noted how the Wall St. Journal slanted the news. I guess you also note it in the NYTimes, WashPost, Fox TV, and all TV broadcast especially the Talking Heads shows.

Yes, I have watched 'Loose Change 9/11". And there are other sites I tune into or get e-mails from. If you want, I can send them along. There are just a great many Unaswered Questions and even Unasked Qs. And most people don't want to know.

With all the Bush haters in the media and the U.S. do you think for one second, that if any of this had any substance at all it would not be all over the front pages of the NYT and Washington Post? There would had to have been thousands of people involved...and NOT ONE has come forward. ha ha ha priceless

Such a thoughtful and well written reply! Surely you are employed as an epistler for a leading liberal publication. Such views are usually found in the pages of Time, Newsweek and other "progressive" rags. - Educated Speculation for the purposes of intellectual discussion & challenging views = Good

- Speculation for the purposes of entertainment (rumor mill) or profit (ala Oliver Stone and other movies) = Bad

Let's have some respect for those affected directly or indirectly by the actions of 9/11. People who lost family/friends, businesses/homes, stability/security, those who became victims of racial-based retaliation. Think before we open our mouths/spread those email rumors.

Allen,

I agree, these theories are certainly way out to lunch!

However, I think they have value. I think they're really great because they make you appreciate that things aren't always as they seem, and help you open your mind to questioning things.

For instance, LC made me see the point that the US government may have gained something from the WTC bombings in a weird way. Certainly I don't believe that they were involved, but it's good to be able to see things from a different perspective.

I think that anything that makes you question things, open your mind or consider another perspective is important!

So what did you guys think about Farenheit 9/11?? Fact or fiction?
