The Metro line which connects the Airport to central Athens is currently suspended because of major engineering works. Express buses to central Athens and Piraeus leave at regular intervals on a 24 hour basis from outside the Arrivals area.

That's too bad, isn't it. Do you know what they are working on?

I read that it will be open in August sometime, at least a long time ago the proposed opening time was 6 months later [being August]. Knowing my luck i'll miss it by like one week. This would be useful to know.

I believe they are extending some lines, but the majority of travellers moving from Athens to the airport or the other way use the buses because they are more convenient believe me.
