No...I don't usually lean on the bar actually... I just grab my drink and go watch the band or sit down at a table or whatever.

You only get condensation problems in hot places. In Britain where it's cold and miserable, and commonplace to prop up the bar with ones forearm there's never really a condensation problem anyway, and so beer mats are generally just stolen and taken home as souvenirs..
