I voted for traditional, but pop culture is a close second. Man would I love to go there... is two weeks enough to get a good glimpse of Japan ?
I think two weeks is enough to get a good glimpse. Especially because travelers who plan ahead can get a JR rail pass. You have to buy it abroad and then exchange it for a pass when you get here, but it gives you access to all of the trains for no additional cost, even the fast bullet trains! You can buy a two week rail pass and that would enable you to see a lot in a short amount of time. Depending on what you want to do. I would recommend flying into Tokyo and then making your way down to Kyushu. You could hit major spots along the way: Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Hiroshima, and then come to Kyushu. There isnt as much information on Kyushu as other areas, but if you have any questions please ask!
