We are planning a trip to Malaysia and have a rough itinerary in mind.

After a short stay in Kuala Lumpur, we fly to Pulau Tioman for a week; then up to Pulau Kapas for another week and then on to Pulau Perhentian for the final seven days.

What’s the best way to get from Tioman to Kapas and then from Kapas to Perhentian? And roughly how long would the journeys take?

Any help on these transfers would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I've spent a good length of time on both Tioman and the Perhentians but never connected the two (or three). I basically zig-zagged my way north taking in the islands off the west coast along the way. Can't see why you can't just head north after Tioman and connect from there?

It's pretty easy to get from place to place using the buses in Malaysia- however it can be time consuming. You may find yourself having to go back to Kuala Lumpur at least once to connect to your next destination, that's not a bad thing as KL is an awesome place so no reason not to keep going back.

You can take the bus, taxi or plane. I think even ferries travel on the stated route but my advice is to take the bus, they are reasonably affordable and very comfortable to ride on:)
