Nothing wrong Louise.
The Greek Government has built a new building where all sculptures from the Acropolis would be kept safe. It is huge and modern. I will try to visit it this coming Friday.
You see, an English, Lord called Elgin removed about half the surviving sculptures between 1801-04, when Greece was an unwilling part of the Ottoman Empire.
All these sculptures are kept in the British Museum but the Museum has repeatedly rejected calls for their return.
Many countries believe that these sculptures which are part of the Acropolis have to return back to Greece.
We shall see what will happen in the near future. I strongly believe that everything should return to Greece.
I also heard that the British Museum had once tried to shine the marbles thus destroying them. I am not sure but I believe something positive should be done soon.
