Hi everyone, so I am doing a Middle East Trip but starting in Athens, Greece for a week. My main trip is the Middle East- Greece is just a fun small trip added on.
Don't know much about Greece other than it looks amazing!
I need some advice of where to go and I want to minimize travel as much as possible.
Are there a couple of places- including cities, islands and off the beated track places that are worth seeing in a week?
I want the flavor of Greece and I LOVE culture (trying new foods, meeting local people, seeing art museums etc)!!! I know that this will be hard to get in a week but I guess I don't want the drunken backpacker scene.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Also does anyone know if there are any ferries to Egypt or Israel? I have heard that there have been in the past but not anymore? Is this correct? If not then I will have to get back to Athens and fly out.
